Our Commitment

Wiser Workplace is committed to ensuring digital accessibility for all users, including people with disabilities. We believe that everyone deserves equal access to information and services, regardless of ability or disability.

This accessibility statement outlines our ongoing efforts to align our platform with Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA and describes what our automated checks test, what they do not, and what is still in development.

Conformance Status

WCAG 2.1 Level AA, Partially Conformant

Wiser Workplace targets WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our accessibility standard. "Partially conformant" means that some parts of our platform do not yet fully meet the accessibility standard. We are actively working to remediate the issues identified in the "Known Limitations" section below.

Automated checks run on every change; the last manual review date is recorded in the repository.

Independent Third-Party Audit: Wiser Workplace intends to commission an independent third-party WCAG 2.1 Level AA audit before broad public launch. Upon completion, this page will be updated with the auditor's name, report date, and any revised conformance claim. If you need to reach the accessibility contact about audit timing or findings, email support@wiserworkplace.com with the subject line "Accessibility Audit Inquiry."

Alternative accessible channel. Any user who cannot use a form can complete the same task by email at support@wiserworkplace.com, at no additional cost. Contact support@wiserworkplace.com to use that channel. We investigate reported accessibility barriers and work to remediate them, and we will tell you what we find; we do not publish a fixed acknowledgment or remediation window, because a stated clock we could miss would be worth less to you than the channel that lets you get the task done today.

We conduct internal testing on an ongoing basis and will update this page as remediation work is completed.

What Our Automated Checks Test

The list below is limited to what the checks that run on every change actually assert. We do not list a feature here unless a check tests it.

Page Structure and Names

Every page declares its language and has a title.
Images carry an alt attribute.
Form controls have an associated label or an accessible name.
Links and buttons have an accessible name.
Element ids are not duplicated, and each heading closes at the level it opened.
ARIA attributes and landmark regions are used as the axe-core rules require.

Color Contrast

Text color contrast meets WCAG 2.1 AA (4.5:1 for normal text, 3:1 for large text). This is checked in our stylesheets, and on a list of key pages it is checked again in the rendered page at desktop and phone widths.

Menus and Navigation

The mobile menu and the log-in menu report whether they are open or closed, and that state changes when they are used.
Each page with the shared header offers exactly one mobile menu.
Where the homepage has a skip link, it points at an element that exists.

What the Automated Checks Do Not Cover

Keyboard-only operation of every control, screen reader output, zoom and reflow, reduced-motion settings, and third-party components are not covered by the automated checks. Report anything that does not work for you, and use the email channel above to complete any task in the meantime.

Security Timeouts

Some steps time out for security reasons: the bot check, one-time sign-in codes and verification links expire after a set time, and an expired step has to be started again. If a timeout gets in your way, email support@wiserworkplace.com and we will complete the task with you by email.

Known Limitations and Exceptions

While we strive for full accessibility, some limitations may exist:

Third-Party Content

Some portions of our platform may include third-party content or embeds (such as payment processors or analytics tools) that we do not directly control. We cannot guarantee full compliance for all external content.

The bot check on our forms is Cloudflare Turnstile, a third-party component we do not control and that our checks do not test. If you cannot complete it, email support@wiserworkplace.com instead; that is the alternative for every form that uses it.

Legacy Documents

PDF files and documents created before our accessibility initiative may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA standards. We are working to remediate these documents. If you need an accessible version of any document, please contact us.

Inaccessible Content

We are committed to remediating any inaccessible content. If you encounter content that does not meet our accessibility standards, please report it to us using the contact information below.

Legal Compliance

Wiser Workplace is committed to meeting applicable accessibility laws and regulations, including:

Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA)

Title III of the ADA requires that businesses provide equal access to goods and services for people with disabilities. We are building and maintaining this platform with WCAG 2.1 Level AA as our target standard (the benchmark commonly referenced in ADA Title III and Unruh Act matters). An independent third-party audit has not yet been commissioned; we will commission one before broad public launch, and this page will name the auditor and the report date when it is complete, as described above. In the interim we maintain the alternative accessible channel described in the "Independent Third-Party Audit" section above, so that any task a user cannot complete on the platform can be completed by email instead. If you encounter a barrier, please contact us using the information in the "Accessibility Issues and Feedback" section below.

California Unruh Civil Rights Act

The California Unruh Civil Rights Act (California Civil Code § 51 et seq.) prohibits discrimination based on disability. As an employment platform serving California users, we are committed to providing accessible digital services under this law.

Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1

We follow WCAG 2.1 Level AA guidelines as our accessibility standard. These guidelines are internationally recognized best practices for web accessibility.

Accessibility Testing and Evaluation

Our current testing program includes:

A static lint of every public page, on every change
axe-core run against the main pages in a simulated browser, on every change
A stylesheet color-contrast check against WCAG AA ratios, on every change
axe-core, contrast included, run in a real browser against key pages at desktop and phone widths, with the menu checks described above

Not yet in place, but planned:

Manual screen-reader testing with NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver (intended before launch)
User testing sessions with people with disabilities (scheduled pre- or post-launch depending on vendor availability)
Independent third-party WCAG 2.1 Level AA audit (not yet commissioned; intended before broad public launch, see "Independent Third-Party Audit" above)

As these evaluations complete, this page will be updated with the findings and any revised conformance claim.

Accessibility Issues and Feedback

We will investigate your report and respond with what we find and what we intend to do about it. If the barrier prevents you from completing something on the platform, say so in your message and we will give you the alternative phone or email route for that task.

Browser Settings

Browser zoom, text size, high-contrast modes, dark mode and reduced-motion settings are not covered by our automated checks. If one of them breaks a page for you, tell us at support@wiserworkplace.com.
