Wiser Workplace is a California-based workplace-concern intake and communication platform. Not a law firm. The platform supports structured intake from employees, a documented response and communication channel for the employers they identify, and, at launch, bilateral mediator selection from a curated slate of independent California neutrals when both parties agree to engage.

Information vs. Legal Advice: Wiser Workplace provides general informational content and tools to help users describe and respond to workplace concerns. This information is not a substitute for legal advice from a licensed California attorney. Specific legal advice requires a formal attorney-client relationship.

Our Role: We provide a structured intake form, a contractually confidential communication channel under Section 7 of our Terms of Service, and tools that allow employees and employers to track the status of submitted concerns. At launch, parties who wish to proceed to mediation may bilaterally engage a mediator from the platform's curated slate of independent California neutrals; a mediator is engaged only when both parties agree. We do not represent any party, and we do not assign mediators unilaterally. Mediators on the curated slate serve only as third-party neutrals under California Rules of Professional Conduct rule 2.4.

Fee Structure: Wiser Workplace is free for employees. Employers pay subscription fees for platform access. All fees are disclosed before use.

Independent Legal Counsel: If you need legal advice, you should independently seek and retain an attorney of your own choosing.

Two-layer protection during the pre-launch period (today through mediator-guided resolution launch): contractual confidentiality under Section 7 of the Terms of Service, and California Evidence Code § 1152 compromise-negotiation inadmissibility.

• Scope of Section 7 contractual confidentiality: Each user agrees to keep platform communications confidential except as expressly permitted in Section 7.4. Section 7.4 preserves the right to share platform communications with the user's own attorney, in connection with a filing or inquiry by a federal, state, or local government agency, and as required by lawful legal process.
• Scope of § 1152 inadmissibility: Section 7.7 of the Terms of Service expressly contracts for the application of California Evidence Code § 1152(a) to all platform communications. Under § 1152, statements and conduct in compromise negotiations are inadmissible to prove a party's liability for the loss or damage at issue. § 1152 is narrower than statutory mediation privilege: it does not necessarily bar discoverability of the communications, and it does not bar admissibility for purposes other than proving liability (such as impeachment, knowledge, intent, bias, or absence of mistake). It is a real but limited evidentiary protection.
• The two layers stack but are not an evidentiary mediation privilege: Contractual confidentiality (Section 7.1) and § 1152 inadmissibility (Section 7.7) operate in parallel during the pre-launch period. Together they provide meaningful protection but they are not the broader statutory mediation privilege of the mediation confidentiality framework. Mediation privilege attaches only at and after the mediator-guided resolution launch, in sessions that meet the statutory definition.
• No outcome guarantee: Submitting a workplace concern through the platform does not guarantee any particular response, settlement, or resolution by an employer.
• Binding agreements reached on the platform: If the parties reach an agreement using the platform's communication channel, that agreement may be legally binding and enforceable. You are encouraged to review any such agreement carefully, and to consult independent legal counsel, before signing it.
• Statute of limitations is not tolled: Use of the platform does not pause, suspend, or extend any statute of limitations or administrative filing deadline that may apply to your workplace concern. If you are concerned about a deadline, consult an attorney promptly.

Truth-In-Advertising Standards. The disclosures in this section are made under California's False Advertising Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code section 17500 et seq.), the California Unfair Competition Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code section 17200 et seq.), the California Consumers Legal Remedies Act (Cal. Civ. Code section 1750 et seq.), and the Federal Trade Commission Act (15 U.S.C. section 45). Wiser Workplace is not a law firm and does not represent that it is governed by the California Rules of Professional Conduct, which apply to lawyers and law firms.

• Past Results Do Not Guarantee Future Outcomes: Any case statistics, settlement examples, or past results described on this platform are illustrative only. They do not predict or guarantee similar results in your case.
• Variables Affecting Results: Resolution amounts and outcomes depend on factors including: strength of evidence, applicable law, witness credibility, damages calculation, venue, cost to litigate, and negotiating positions of both parties.
• No Predictions: No prediction has been made as to the probable success or failure of your case. Only an attorney who has reviewed your specific facts can provide legal analysis.
• No Tool Provides Outcome Predictions: Wiser Workplace does not operate a settlement calculator, case-strength screener, or any tool that estimates the value or merit of a specific user's matter. (Earlier iterations of the platform offered such tools; they were retired before launch as inconsistent with the platform's role as a technology service rather than a legal-advice service.)
• Tax & Other Consequences: Wiser Workplace does not provide tax advice. Settlement amounts may have tax consequences that vary based on individual circumstances. Consult a tax professional for advice.

Endorsements and Testimonials. The disclosures in this section are made under the Federal Trade Commission's Guides Concerning the Use of Endorsements and Testimonials in Advertising, 16 C.F.R. Part 255, and California's False Advertising Law (Cal. Bus. & Prof. Code section 17500 et seq.).

Your privacy is important to us. Information you provide through Wiser Workplace is subject to our Privacy Policy, which complies with California privacy laws and federal data protection standards.

These provisions do not apply to your disputes with other parties (employers, employees, attorneys). Those disputes are governed by applicable law and any agreements with those parties.
